Whistler downhill Yeti sb6 Arbutus Team Whistler Guides

Lizzie Darke

Bike/Multiday Guide.

From the UK Lizzie started working in the outdoor industry after finishing school to chase the sun around the world as a windsurf instructor. Riding bikes was how she spent her time waiting around for the wind to pick up and exploring the local hills, very soon the biking took center stage as her passion grew. Wanting to make a move into guiding Lizzie landed her first MTB guiding job in the coastal mountains of Greece. ‘I would be pedaling an average of 300km a week in ridiculous heat, everyone thought I was crazy but I loved it!’ Lizzie spent the next few years guiding in the summers and snowboarding in the winters going between Greece and France. Lizzie now calls Pemberton home, letting her explore all the trails in Whistler, Squamish and Pemberton at her leisure. ‘Guiding for me is an amazing job. you can’t beat being able to ride all day, sharing some of the best trails in the world, with people from around the world’
